The Sussex Trophy provided the ultimate save of the weekend with an airborne moment from the Cooper Monaco T49 of Tom Dark and Mark Daniell. This whirlwind of red had only its right-hand wheels on the tarmac, giving spectators a proper heart-in-mouth moment. But it was styled it out and continued the race as if it were a mere slip, the pair finishing the race in 13^th overall.

The Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy brought one of the more elegant off-road moments of the event, as Scott Dixon’s Jaguar E-Type tiptoed through the grass at St. Mary’s before safely rejoining the track. The Whitsun Trophy saw similar levels of ‘grass management’ when Katsu Kubota lost the back end of his Lotus 30 into the corner, only to brilliantly salvage it. We also witnessed Stuart Hall spin his Lola-Chevrolet T70 Spyder to face oncoming traffic, completing a full 360-degree rotation before ultimately retiring.

Part 2 of the St. Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul always promises some of the closest door-to-door barging on the historic racing calendar, and this year was no exception. Battles raged across every inch of the tarmac, notably as the Morris Minis of Nick Swift and Ben Colburn teamed up to bully the larger Jaguar Mk2 of Toby Smith, forcing him onto the grass. Adding to the chaos, the heavy metal swarmed in as a massive Ford Galaxie 500 and a nimble Ford-Lotus Cortina Mk1 shunted their way into the ruckus.

The RAC TT Celebration presented by Dunlop was a must-watch, not just for its star-studded driver line-up, but for the pure racing cinema of watching drivers push these historic machines to their limits. This was perfectly captured when Richard Kent suffered a rather hairy moment in his Jaguar E-Type FHC, locking up his front-right tyre during a bold overtake attempt.

Meanwhile, the Lavant Cup proved that the most beautiful grid can also be the most competitive. The race reignited the legendary 'Battle of Modena' with plenty of Italian spark, packing the grid with some of the finest Ferraris and Maseratis in motorsport history. The drama peaked when a Maserati 450S began coughing smoke from its exhaust before spinning out onto the grass, prematurely retiring the iconic trident.
