Of course not all Silverstone Classic on-track forays were of the four-wheeled variety. Spectacular speed and racing many would argue comes at its best on two wheels. As such an incredible and illustrious history of World GP bike racing was celebrated with the Bike Legends display.

Gallery: Bike Legends bring the two‑wheeled action to Silverstone
Stars of the show included Phil Read “The Prince of Speed”, Niall Mackenzie, Wayne Gardner and many more, with the machinery on the bill of no less significance. Headline bikes included Kenny Roberts Jr’s 2000 championship-winning Suzuki RGV 500, the Lucky Strike Suzuki RGV 500 and the new Yamaha YZF-R1 as demoed by Gardner. Quite the bike-and-rider line-up for aficionados of fast fabulous two-wheeled action to get their jaws into.
