We've introduced you to Florent Moulin and his rare Dallara/Chrylser LMP900 before. Florent is a Frencman with a penchent for grunty American machines and has some pretty fine cars in his rather lovely collection.
Florent is also a regular racer with our friends over at Historic Sportscar Racing in the US – we've met him at both Sebring and Daytona over the last couple of years and featured this less-successful in in its time Chrysler before right here.
But this video has a real unique selling point – the camera angle. HSR are fortunate enought to be goverend by fewer regulations than we are in the UK and so are able to position their GoPros in some more imaginative angles – ones which GRR would need signed off several weeks in advance.
So when Florent took to the banks of Daytona last year for a stint at the Classic 24 he left the pits with a GoPro strapped to his rear wing, looking forward. In doing so he captured one of the most unusual, but brilliant, on board angles we've seen for years. Clear as you like (no glass/perspex in the way) full of sound (mounted just behind the engine) and luckily capturing the heat of a high-banked battle, it's a wonderful watch. It's just making us all the more excited for our trip back to the States next week!
