You know how a spa day is meant to relax you, how you’re meant to feel like you have nowhere else to be and as though there’s nothing in the world to worry about? That’s how we feel listening to the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12.

When we, the GRR team, first saw and heard the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 we collectively lost out minds. It wasn’t just the volume, but the platted, layered texture of the V12 song. Then we saw it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard and, once more, we were jumping up and down giggling in Goodwood House, running to the windows to listen to that ferocious soundtrack. This video, recorded with fancy binaural audio has us giggling childishly all over again.
In case you’re unfamiliar with it, binaural audio is where two microphones are used to create a surround-sound feel. Here, that means you’ll hear the SCV12 arrive in one ear, pass by giving your brain a proper seeing to, and depart tickling the other ear – but you must listen to it with headphones to make the most of it. It’s glorious, quite frankly. We just wish the video was as long as an actual spa day.
