Video: This Porsche 997 build is a work of art

Watch in glorious 4K as each component is carefully unwrapped, before being painstakingly welded, painted and curated into the resplendent Rothmans replica of your dreams.

Built by Reflex Auto Design and Matt Clifford, it was reportedly Europe’s first ‘Old & New’ 997 Porsche build to debut, and created a media storm when in late March 2018 it was launched with a 3,000-mile roadtrip to Worthersee, Austria, and back. Less than a year later, in February 2019, it went up for sale with Historics Auctioneers, estimated at £85,000-90,000 ($111,000-118,000).

The fully functioning masterpiece pays homage to the controversial slantnoses of yesteryear, with the livery reminiscent of the great racing Rothmans-clad Porsches including the 953 and 959 Dakar conquerors and the 956 and 962 Le Mans winners.
