The Polestar 1 is the Polestar halo car, a vehicle that exists both to push the boundaries of what’s technically possible and to get people excited about the company, much in the same way the Porsche 918 Spyder et al did nearly a decade ago.
So the Polestar 1 is limited to just 1,500 cars worldwide, has a body made of carbon-fibre and is priced accordingly at £139,000. It’s seriously intriguing, too, the hybrid powertrain consisting of three electric motors and a supercharged and turbocharged engine powering all four wheels. Is it worth the money? Watch to find out.
