Sometimes it’s not about what you’re driving, but where you’re driving it and, in this case, when you’re driving it. This is no supercar or priceless racing artefact and indeed, this is no sunny circuit in Northern Spain. This is snow season in the Alps and we’re riding on board a Bus for a tour of this incredible part of the world.
Video: Riding onboard a bus in the Alps is like therapy
Yes, it takes an incredible amount of skill to dance a historic sportscar around Goodwood, or a DFV-powered F1 racer around Monaco but all driving involves a certain amount of skill. The acquired powers of execution required to thread this enormous people mover up and down Alpine mountains, on tiny, often low-grip surfaces, mustn’t be underestimated either. In his own way, like the F1 aces, this driver is facing challenges few others do. So what about that view out? Sometimes given the snowy storms, there’s not a lot to see. Sometimes, you’re left aghast at the beauty of it. Sometimes, it’s slightly scary. For this morning’s dose of – shall we call it therapy? – this video serves as fabulous escapism.
