Starting with those debuts from the First Glance batch, including Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen driving the Audi Nuvolari up the Hill for the very first time. There’s also a glimpse inside the TWR Supercat, which again was providing the high notes for the Festival of symphony as part of New Classics.
The Praga Bohema hypercar was also back at Goodwood, and the brand’s technical director was on hand to provide an update on this car’s trajectory, while Formula 1 star Pierre Gasly offered an insight on driving the all-new Alpine A110 Future up the Hill.
BMW celebrated 40 years of the M3 with a parade on the Hill, followed by the always unmissable Drift batch featuring Travis Pastrana and the Subaru Brataroo 9500 Turbo and a Volvo 745 carrying an eager four-legged passenger — we promise no animals were harmed.
Thursday’s Balcony Moment was in honour of Ducati’s centenary, marked by a magnificent convoy of the brand’s most revered bikes and riders making their way up the Hill and all the way into Goodwood House. Led by four-time World Champion Carl Fogarty, this gathering really highlighted Ducati’s indelible mark on motorsport as we look forward to another 100 years.
If that wasn’t all, there was plenty still to see on the Hill including the Red Bull RB17 and heritage F1 machines. And before the day was out, we proudly launched the Goodwood Road Racing Club of America, strengthening our ties across the pond as America celebrates 250 years of independence. The future’s looking bright, and considering this was only day one of the Festival of Speed there was so much still to look forward to. Enjoy all these highlights and more in the video above.
