The day paid tribute to icons Barry Sheene and Jack Brabham, alongside historic celebrations for Maserati and Vespa. Spectators also witnessed the final outing of the iconic Le Mans ‘66 Ford GT40s piloted by motorsport greats Tom Kristensen, Derek Bell, and Emanuele Pirro a legendary trio boasting a combined 19 victories at the Le Mans.

Trackside, the intensity reached a fever pitch. The Freddie March Memorial Trophy presented by Cazenove Capital delivered some of the weekend's fiercest racing, with drivers clipping the grass and trading paint in a brilliant display of competition. Meanwhile, the Whitsun Trophy lived up to its reputation as the fastest (and loudest) race of the weekend, keeping visitors hooked with relentless side-by-side battles, dramatic spins and heavy lock-ups. Captivated by the previous day’s drama, spectators rushed back to the grandstands for Part 2 of the St. Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul, which easily replicated that thrilling, bumper-to-bumper action.

Then came the one we were all waiting for. The RAC TT Celebration presented by Dunlop delivered the ultimate finale to the event, starting with the star-studded grid of drivers enjoying a parade lap aboard three vintage buses. Hearing their thoughts moments before the race, and in such an unexpected setting offered a fascinating glimpse into the minds of these racers as they prepared to do battle.

When the lights finally went out, the grid erupted into a frenzy of wheel-spins and aggressive overtakes from the very first corner. As it unfolded, the race proved a masterclass of motorsport pedigree. The drama peaked during the mandatory driver swaps; once the AC Cobra 'Snake Eyes' entered the pits the top ten was turned completely on its head and this set the stage for a cinematic final few laps that went right down to the wire. Ultimately, André Lotterer and Lukas Halusa emerged victorious, crossing the finish line to claim their well-earned celebration with traditional cigars and Champagne.

The final day of the Goodwood Revival always carries a unique atmosphere, a heady mix of electrifying excitement and gentle sombreness as this living time capsule draws to a close. But in true Goodwood fashion, it’s never a ‘goodbye’ but a ‘see you soon’.  The engines may have fallen silent for now, but the anticipation for next year has already begun.
