It's hard enough trying to chase down your opponents in the tail-happy 911 RSR at Spa-Francorchamps on the best of days. But for Jim Pace the task got a whole lot harder when it started raining...
Not only was the rain, in true Spa fashion, monsoon-like, but then Jim's window to the world became a whole lot smaller. His demister appears not to have been functioning very well, as the RSR's screen eventually became completely steamed-up – just as he approached Eau Rouge...
Jim is a hardened racer, schooled through years of battle not to panic in this situations, so he just gets on with it, clearing small sections of the screen with his hands whenever he can. While you or I would have backed off, and possibly even given up, Pace continues to do battle with the cars around him, that he can barely see.
This is something that takes some real stones to do. Did we mention his screen is cracked too?
