While some car brands have lavished the screen, both large and small, with cars that go on to become movie and TV icons, perhaps the most famous brand of all, Ferrari, has stayed relatively low key.
But, when the Prancing Horse has allowed one of its creations onto the screen – or often, someone has put one on-screen without asking – they tend to be pretty memorable. Take Ferris Bueller and co. sending a Ferrari 250 GT California into a ravine, or Magnum P.I. straddling a bright white, Pininfarina-designed machine in white trousers. You can’t help but remember them all.
