Racing cars in the dark, anywhere in the world, look cool. There's no question about that. But when you're at one of the most famous race tracks in the world, in the deep, all-pervasive dark of a central-Floridian night there's something extra special about your evening.

The final qualifying sessions ahead of the Classic Sebring 12 Hour weekend were held in that inky black. With Sebring's confines being set a fair distance from any major population centre there's little to no light coming from anything other than the cars and the few short areas of lit track, which makes the darkness unlike that which you see at most tracks.
Picking the cars out as they come through the murk is a magical experience, seeing the piercing beam of extra lights added to classic workhorses – whose own are little more than candles – shows how brave the racers of their generation were.
So please enjoy our best efforts above bring the spirit of Sebring at night in the gallery above, and look out for more stunning action as the weekend goes on.
