One of the highlights for many at last weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed was the outstanding collection of cars displayed on the lawns for the 2016 Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’.

Stunning Lamborghini Miura Takes FOS Cartier Title

Seven classes of outstanding, beautiful and rarely seen cars combined to make a visual treat for all automobile aficionados. The cars in these carefully selected Cartier classes were inspired by significant motoring anniversaries.
After intense scrutiny on Sunday morning by a panel of ten well-known judges, including F1 team boss Claire Williams, musician Jay Kay, Apple designer Sir Jonathan Ive and model David Gandy, the stunning metallic green 1971 Lamborghini Miura SV was crowned the overall winner of this year’s Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’.
The winners for each of the seven Cartier classes this year were as follows:

- Coach and No Horses – The Dawn of Motoring: 1897 Daimler Wagonete
- Vauxhall’s Said and Ton – The Princely 30/98: 1925 Vauxhall 30/98 Wensum
- The Fabulous Phantom – Rolls-Royce’s Regal V12: 1936 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Freestone & Webb Sports Saloon
- From Alpha to Zeta – The Pioneering Lancias: 1933 Lancia Astura Pininfarina ‘Bocca’
- Alpine Pass and Present – Dieppe’s Definitive Sports Car: 1954 Le Marquis prototype
- Gandini’s Raging Bulls – The Legendary Lamborghinis: 1975 Lamborghini Countach
