Some say that today’s racing cars are tame, that the golden era of god-like car control is dead and that nannying electronics are killing off the instinctive, razor-sharp, best of the best drivers that we all know and love. Not so.

Video: Ross Gunn's Wild Ride In Aston Martin Vantage GTE
As you can see in the video above, the Aston Martin Vantage GTE takes no prisoners. These endurance racers are designed to be driven consistently and for their drivers to get into a grove. Aggressive inputs and showboating will be met with commensurate snap behaviour and that is exactly what this GTE exhibited off the start line at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
GT4 Champion Ross Gunn grabbed the GTE by the scruff and needless to say the Vantage came out fighting! Swaying this way and that and shredding the rears before Gunn gets the car back on the straight and narrow ready for an epic run up the Hill. What a drive, and what a noise from this old school V8 sportscar!
