To that end, we’ve harvested a rare treat from the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard archives: A Jaguar XJR-9 on full whack up the FOS Hill, on its way to a stunning time of 45.95 seconds! That screaming 7.0-litre V12 might be a tad archaic by modern standards, but the concerto it emits is all the spectacle we need. Given the time, it’s not exactly sluggish, either.
