For some buyers the BMW M4 GTS just went a step too far: The aero addenda, roll cage, loud orange accenting and crucially, the price, raised more than a few eyebrows.
Video: Colin Turkington thrashing the new BMW M4 CS up the Hill in glorious 360º
Those that aren’t the purest of BMW M aficionados - and those that fancy taking their circuit-hardened M4 to the shops - were left wanting something with the dials turned down from 11. Enter the BMW M4 CS, at a still-throaty 9. Dripping in carbon, producing more power thanks to a freer-flowing exhaust and featuring a finely re-tinkered chassis, the M4 CS looks like the daily driving enthusiast’s perfect compromise. At £33k cheaper (£89k) than the GTS, it’s sure to get a broader audience of wallets twitching, too. WSR BTCC ace Colin Turkington took to the Hill at FOS to show the crowds what the CS is made of, as captured in glorious 360º video.
