A run up the Goodwood Hill must have barely given Timo Bernhard time to get into his stride compared to his stints at the Le Mans 24-hour in the very same Porsche 919 Hybrid two weeks ago.

Together with teammates Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber, he claimed victory in Le Sarthe, and the grime from those gruelling 24 hours is still evident as a trophy of the car's efforts. The number two car was forced to battle alone on behalf of the Porsche team when number one retired with an oil pressure problem.
It was the team's third consecutive victory at Le Mans, galvanising its position as the most successful manufacturer at Le Mans with a total of 19 wins. Audi has taken victory 13 times and Ferrari nine.
