Goodwood Motor Circuit
A high-octane, fun-fuelled day of driving your own car around one of the world’s most challenging racing circuits.
Push your car to its limits on one of the UK's most challenging race tracks and drive in the tracks of legends such as Jim Clark and Sir Jackie Stewart.
Your experience includes:
- At least three 15-minute driving sessions for a half-day and six 15-minute sessions for a full-day
- Full drivers briefing with Chief Driving Instructor

Category 2 Days
Normally up to five cars on the Circuit at any one time: Maximum 105 dB at 0.5m from the exhaust and three-quarters maximum revs static test and 101 dB drive-by at approximately 10m on-track. All cars will be noise tested at the start of their track day. Cars that fail will not be allowed on the track, therefore we encourage drivers to book a complimentary noise test at the Motor Circuit prior to their track day if they are unsure.
Please note we do not allow open wheeled cars at our Goodwood Track Days.
Category 3 Days
Normally up to 10 cars on the Circuit at any one time: Maximum 98 dB at 0.5m from the exhaust and three-quarters maximum revs static test and 96 dB drive-by at approximately 10m on-track. All cars will be noise tested at the start of their track day. Cars that fail will not be allowed on the track, therefore we encourage drivers to book a noise test with the Motor Circuit team prior to their track day if they are unsure.
Please note we do not allow open-wheeled cars or three-wheeled cars at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
Can your car attend a 98dB Track Day?
All standard diesel engine cars and most modern standard petrol superminis, hatchback and estate cars can attend the 98dB track day. Sports cars should book a noise test in advance and all supercars and historic cars should book onto a 105dB day.
Availability
Available for half (AM or PM) or full-days. Runs on either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday with at least one date every month throughout the year.
Participant Guidelines
Drivers must hold a full driving licence which will need to be presented on the day - photocopies will not be accepted. All drivers must have a good understanding of the English language for instruction/briefing purposes. All drivers need to be in reasonable health. Please note: anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.
Weather
Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call 01243 755055 if in any doubt.
Duration
If you are doing a half-day, expect to be at the Circuit for around five hours. Driving time includes at least three 15-minute driving sessions. If you are doing a full-day, expect to be at the Circuit for around nine hours. Driving time includes at least six 15-minute driving sessions.
Please arrive early so you have enough time to sign on and attend the vital safety briefing before you head out onto the track.
Driving instructor tuition
Improve your driving skills with tuition from our qualified Goodwood instructors. Master performance driving and understand cornering, braking distances and the racing line as our instructors impart their knowledge with you. Avaliable upon booking your Goodwood Track Day or by calling 01243 755055.
Numbers on the day
Share the briefing with up to 30 other participants. There will be a maximum of 10 cars on the circuit at any one time.
Spectators
Family, friends and children are welcome to spectate and can bring a camera to record the experience. Viewing is available for spectators. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash at all times. The Old Control Tower at the Motor Circuit sells coffees, soft drinks and hot and cold snacks. Viewing is available for spectators from this venue. You can also purchase one additional lunch for a guest, this can be done when purchasing your track day or by calling 01243 755055.
Dress Code
Dress warmly and comfortably in trousers and a long-sleeved top. Wear flat-soled shoes and bring driving gloves if possible. Flip flops and shorts are not permitted. A helmet is provided. This applies for both drivers and passengers.

Minimum age for passengers
The minimum age for passengers is 14 years old. Young adults will need to be signed on prior to going on track and proof of age will be required - a passport or birth certificate is preferred.

Browse through our Ultimate Driving experiences or Track Days and find the perfect gift or treat yourself to something you've always wanted to do. Add your gift to the basket and then proceed through our secure checkout. You'll receive an order confirmation at the end of the checkout confirming all your details and what you have purchased. Alternatively, if you want to book a date and time there and then, this can also be done online.
2. Once you receive your voucher
Your gift will be sent within three working days of purchase. Inside you'll find your Goodwood gift voucher which includes a map of the circuit and what you need to bring with you.
3. Book your experience
Please choose a date and time that suits you from the available dates online. Call the Ticket Office on 01243 755055 and make your booking. Your voucher will be valid for 12 months from date of purchase and your voucher must be booked and used within this time.
4. Enjoy your experience
The time has come to enjoy your driving experience at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
