The place to be and be seen
Ladies’ Day, the most stylish day of the Qatar Goodwood Festival, is the place where the worlds of fashion and horseracing become one. Our ladies' amateur jockey race, the Magnolia Cup, will get the day off to an impressive start, which in previous years has supported charities dedicated to helping women and children.

Why Ladies' Day?
Racing on day three commences with the Magnolia Cup presented by Markel, an all-female charity race.
The highlight of the racing under rules is the £600,000 Group 1 Qatar Nassau Stakes, for the world’s best fillies and mares. This race was inaugurated in 1840, and we look forward to seeing another great name added to its illustrious roll of honour, following Lady Bowthorpe's 2021 emotional win in the race for trainer William Jarvis and Emma Banks, multi award-winning music agent.
The Magnolia Cup
Twelve fearless women, 40mph racehorses and the world's most beautiful racecourse - there can be only one winner. Reflect on the successes of previous years, including 2019 winner Khadijah Mellah, who created history by becoming the first Muslim rider to race and ride in an amateur horse race. There is nothing quite like the Magnolia Cup.
