Central Feature
The Central Feature has developed into one of the most eye-catching and iconic aspects of the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.
The focal point for the biggest celebrations at the Festival of Speed each year. There will always be plenty of umissable moments in the shadow of the sculpture and on the balcony of Goodwood House.

2023 Central Feature celebrating Porsche
This year's iconic Central Feature celebrated one of the automotive world's most historic and prestigious marques: Porsche. Marking the brand's 75th anniversary of its first sports car, a parade of historic Porsche cars took to the Hill and a memorable moment with fireworks took place each day in front of the house. Porsche became the first brand to create the Central Feature four times.
A heritage celebrating automotive design
Gerry Judah was first commissioned to produce a Festival of Speed Central Feature in 1997, when Ferrari took the role of Central Feature marque. Judah has a diverse CV. He has been commissioned by rock bands for their energetic stage shows, but at the other end of the spectrum he has created sculptures for celebrated museums, such as a piece for the Imperial War Museum's Holocaust Exhibition in 2000. His range gives the Central Feature a renewed energy each year, as car manufacturers take turns to partner with him and create a truly memorable sculpture.
