Just beyond Goodwood House along the Hillclimb, the 2nd Dukes banqueting house was also known as "one of the finest rooms in England" (George Vertue 1747).



Our gin uses wild-grown botanicals sourced from the estate, and is distilled with mineral water naturally chalk-filtered through the South Downs.

The oldest existing rules for the game were drawn up for a match between the 2nd Duke and a neighbour
Whether they’re standard, medium, miniature or toy, resplendent in their black, silver, white, cream, apricot, brown, rowan or red colourways, we would love to see as many glorious examples of these curly coated beauties over the weekend of Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May and, in particular, joining our sumptuous poodle parade which will kick off the event on the Saturday morning.

What a sight that will be; a group of fabulous poodles with their razor-sharp intelligence and model good looks, sauntering past the giant orange Goodwoof hounds, ready to enjoy the ultimate dog’s day out with their family.
Poodles are held in high esteem on the Goodwood estate. The Duke of Richmond has very fond memories of one particular very special poodle.
He says, “When I was a child, my grandmother, Betty, had a huge black standard poodle called Bruno. Memories of playing with him remind me of my earliest days at Goodwood, so I’ve always had a soft spot for the breed. I’m very much looking forward to seeing a whole pack of poodles heralding the opening of another fun-filled weekend as we celebrate our love of dogs at Goodwoof this May.”

On Saturday 20 May a celebratory parade of Poodles, led by The Duke of Richmond, will take centre stage and capture the great gathering of Poodles in front of The Kennels. It will be a spellbinding moment for all involved!
