Just beyond Goodwood House along the Hillclimb, the 2nd Dukes banqueting house was also known as "one of the finest rooms in England" (George Vertue 1747).

Please find important information below that you will need to know ahead of your visit.


The Downs Experience takes place at The Downs course, but you will sign in at The Kennels. For directions, please visit our Estate Map.
To book your experience, please fill out the attached form. After this form has been filled out, please email to golf@goodwood.com and they will be able to book your experience. Alternatively, please call 01243 755133.
Once you have agreed your booking date and tee time, please make sure you arrive in plenty of time to enjoy the practice facilities before your round of golf.
Please make sure you bring your clubs and golf balls. Please do dress appropriately for the weather.
When you arrive at Goodwood you will be greeted in the car park by your host for the day and they will sign you in. They will show you to the changing rooms where you have a personalised locker to use for the day.
Your host will then take you to the driving range and give you a basket of range balls. After you’ve warmed up for your experience, you will then take on 18 holes of The Downs Course in one of our unique GPS Woody Buggies.
After your round, your host will greet you back at The Kennels where they will clean your clubs and present you with your metal bag tag to take home with you.
Pace of play is very important here at Golf At Goodwood and your round of golf should take you no longer than four hours and 20 minutes.
We’re a very accessible, relaxed and informal club. There is no strict dress code on The Downs Course.
Goodwood has a wide range of dining options including at The Kennels where you can enjoy superb dining in stylish, welcoming and elegant surroundings. For more information, please speak to the team when you are booking your experience.
If you do need refreshments on course, there is a Gazebo where you can get food and drinks to enjoy throughout your round.
Please note refreshments are not included in the experience.
