Charities
By highlighting the incredible work done by three amazing organisations, Seth hopes to affect change and have a positive impact on the lives of many. He’s using his journey to the pole to raise funds for three charitable causes:
Covid-19 has challenged us all. It has also reminded us of the importance of community and the NHS that is there to support each and every one of us in our time of need.
I am lucky enough to be married to one of our NHS hero's and have seen first-hand the challenges that they face on a daily basis. Through my adventure, I will work to inspire my local community to raise funds for the Western Sussex Hospitals Trust.
Over the coming months we will be engaging with children from two different schools, located in two very different settings - one of which is African based charity Ubuntu Pathways.
Ubuntu helps children across South Africa to get access to better education, regardless of background and circumstance. Ubuntu support children throughout their educational journey, from pre-school to finishing University. Through our adventure, we hope to inspire young people to dream big and achieve the extraordinary things that we know they are capable of.
Cancer sadly touches all of our lives. Personally, I have in recent years lost a number of friends well before their time. Seeing the life drain from young active people, and the void left in families has motivated me to actively support Cancer Research UK as they strive to fund scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner.
The 90 Degrees North challenge
An adventure 90 degrees north, running on the frozen water of the Arctic Ocean.
There are very few challenges left in the world that can really be classed as unique. Very few opportunities to set yourself apart and achieve something that only a handful of others would even contemplate.
In April 2022, Goodwood’s Director of Partnership Management, Seth Wise, will compete in the ‘Coolest Race’ on the planet, The North Pole Marathon.

About Seth
Seth is a 40-year-old husband and father who has always been a keen sportsman. A qualified personal trainer and group exercise instructor, he juggles professional fitness obligations alongside his full time role as Director of Partnership Management at The Goodwood Estate, Chichester.
An avid runner and true competitor, Seth has completed 25 marathons to date, including a 100K Ultra Marathon. His drive and passion for endurance sports has also seen him complete two Ironman Triathlons.
Seth's no stranger to fundraising, founding the 2013 Be-Epic charity campaign which raised £15,000 for two UK charities. In 2022 Seth aims to surpass this feat with his adventure into the extreme cold of the Arctic.
After the success of our Virtual Run to the Pole in 2021 (which raised nearly £3,000), I am excited to be able to bring people together safely to challenge themselves and show their support and thanks for Love Your Hospital. Alongside the preparations for my Arctic adventure, I am hugely motivated to activate the 90 Degrees North community to help me raise funds.
