Summer Ball

Details of the 2024 event are currently being confirmed, but here is an outline of the typical event timings:

We invite you to arrive from 7pm, to join us for a drinks reception in the Bonhams Auction Tent. 

At 8pm we will serve a delicious three course dinner in the Goodwood House State apartments. 

At 10pm, we will head outside to watch a spectacular fireworks display and lightshow, before The Duke of Richmond's speech. 

From 10.30pm, there will be music to dance the night away to, before carriages at midnight. 

Can I bring guests?

Members are welcome to bring guests to the event and make a real occasion of it.  Why not book a full table and share the extraordinary atmosphere of a beautiful estate in the final stages of anticipation for the world-renowned event to take place the following days?  Alternatively take this opportunity to meet other Members, sharing a table with them as well as your tales of previous years and excitement of the event to follow.

What is the dress code for the event?

The dress code for the evening is black tie.

Is there disabled access?

Should you require disabled access please inform the Club ahead of the event and we shall make alternative arrangements for you.

I am camping, how can I get to the event?

If you are camping please contact the Club with details of your campsite and we shall arrange specific pick up and drop between the entrance to the campsites and the party.

What are the cancellation terms? 

Payment is required on booking. In the event of cancellation by you, no refund will be paid unless the place is refilled. In the event of cancellation by GRRC, a refund will be made less unrecoverable expenses incurred. All refunds will be made entirely at the discretion of GRRC.
