The latest in our care for our course this winter series is about repairing your pitch marks. It is so important to repair all your pitch marks during your round to make it enjoyable for yourself and others.
Did you know that typically, the average number of pitch marks made on greens per round is eight per golfer. Assuming only 130 rounds are played each day, the greens receive 1,040 impressions daily, 31,000 per month or more than 374,400 per year.
This month, PGA Professional, Craig Gardner, and Head Greenkeeper of The Downs Course, Rob Dyer, run through how to correctly repair your pitch marks whilst out on the course. This can be viewed here.
Please remember to repair your pitch marks and together, let's care for our course this winter.
Best Wishes,
Tim Martin,
Assistant Golf Operations Manager
