The Copse

We would also like to mention that all decisions have been made with the intention of controlling the volume of traffic, while preserving the quality of the facility from both a playability and the overall experience point of view. We will of course review how we operate as we go, making further decisions based on the demands on the facility and trends that develop.

How am I able to secure bookings on The Copse?

As mentioned in the video, both the Short Game Area and the Short Course will be separate bookable facilities via Intelligent Golf. These can be made online at 07:15 each day for two weeks ahead.

Short Course Bookings

• The course will operate with tee times at 10-minute intervals
• Each booking is for one six-hole round, if you wish to play another six holes you will need a second booking to do so
• Members will be able to add themselves to already established bookings, however anonymous slots won’t be removed.

Short Game Area Bookings

• Members can book slots for one hour, within this hour there will be 50 minutes allocated to practice and then a 10-minute changeover
• The tee sheet will take bookings every 30 minutes, therefore those with a 09:00 booking will effectively be replaced by those with a 10:00 booking. Those with a 09:30 booking will be replaced by those with a 10:30 booking, and so on

How will The Short Course operate?

• On arrival, please check in at The Park reception ahead of your tee time
• To help us manage the flow of traffic around the whole facility, members must stick to these tee times, regardless of if the 1^st green is clear
• Each tee time can accommodate four players, however if you have friends playing in the group directly in front or behind, you can join up and play as a larger group if you would like to do so
• Please be mindful of traffic around both the Short Course and Short Game Area when in use

How will The Short Game Area operate?

• On arrival, please check in at The Park reception area, during check in you will be given a clikka tube of The Copse branded Pro V1 balls.
• The balls provided must be used, you are unable to use your own balls or range balls
• The golf team will inform members both in person and via the course status whether grass or mats are in operation each day
• Within the short game area, there are five zones, members will need to rotate around these zones within their 50 minutes
• Each day there may be certain zones closed to protect the wear and tear, this will be made clear via signage, the course status and in person at check in
• Once your 50 minutes is up, members must stop play, collect all balls using the clikka tube, repair all pitch marks and ensure bunkers are raked
• On completion, please return your clikka tube back to the golf team at reception

How will The Copse be Chargeable?

Please see the charges below based on your membership category. Please note there will be a separate communication to all Braid members to discuss the options in more detail. Our cancellation and no-show policy will be enforced for The Copse in line with the same conditions as The Downs and Park courses.

Parking for The Copse

Please may we remind members that The Academy car park is strictly for tuition and practice only. For anyone using The Copse or The Park course, you must park in the Hotel leisure car park. Please note that we will be adopting a stronger stance on this moving forward, any repeat offenders will run the risk of having their playing rights temporarily removed.
