For safety reasons F1 cars can no longer do official timed runs so instead perform stunning demonstrations!


Goodwood Motor Circuit was officially opened in September 1948 when Freddie March, the 9th Duke and renowned amateur racer, tore around the track in a Bristol 400
















The first ever horsebox was used from Goodwood to Doncaster for the 1836 St. Leger. Elis arrived fresh and easily won his owner a £12k bet.

Add Express 1-hour Tuition to your Track Day at the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit. This one-to-one session with a professional instructor is designed to help you build confidence, sharpen technique, and make the most of your time on track.
Designed as a strong introduction or focused skill-building session, this experience suits drivers short on time but serious about progress. With expert instructors guiding you on one of the UK’s most iconic circuits, every lap builds confidence and control.
Up to five cars are allowed on track at once. All vehicles must meet strict noise limits: 105 dB in a static test (measured 0.5m from the exhaust at 75% of maximum revs) and 101 dB in a drive-by test (measured approximately 10m from the track). Every car will be tested at the start of the day. Those that fail will not be allowed on track. If unsure, book a free noise test at the Motor Circuit in advance. Open-wheeled cars are not permitted.

All standard diesel engine cars and most modern standard petrol superminis, hatchback and estate cars can attend the 98dB track day. Sports cars should book a noise test in advance and all supercars and historic cars should book onto a 105dB day.
Track days run on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays, with at least one date per month. Available as half-day (AM or PM) or full-day sessions. Join the waitlist if your preferred date is fully booked.
Drivers must hold a full UK driving licence (no photocopies). A good understanding of English is required for instructions/briefing purposes. Drivers must be in reasonable health. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to participate.
Driving may be cancelled or shortened in extreme weather (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain, high winds). Call 01243 755055 if unsure.
If you are doing a half-day, expect to be at the Circuit for around five hours. Driving time includes at least three 15-minute driving sessions. If you are doing a full-day, expect to be at the Circuit for around nine hours. Driving time includes at least six 15-minute driving sessions.
Please arrive early so you have enough time to sign on and attend the vital safety briefing before you head out onto the track.
Improve your driving skills with tuition from our qualified Goodwood instructors. Master performance driving and understand cornering, braking distances and the racing line as our instructors impart their knowledge with you. Avaliable upon booking your Goodwood Track Day or by calling 01243 755055.

Passengers must be at least 14 years old, with proof of age (passport or birth certificate) required. Young passengers must be signed on before going on track. Family and friends are welcome to watch and take photos. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are allowed but must stay on a lead. Spectator viewing is available, including at the Old Control Tower, which offers drinks and snacks. One extra guest lunch can be purchased when booking or by calling 01243 755055.
Please wear warm, comfortable clothing - ideally trousers and a long-sleeved top. Flat-soled shoes are required; flip flops and shorts are not permitted. Driving gloves are recommended if you have them. Helmets are provided and must be worn by both drivers and passengers.
