Goodwoof's year of sport

06th February 2026

2026 promises to be an exciting year for sports fans with the Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup and the Commonwealth Games all taking place.

To celebrate, canine sports will be front and centre with world class competitions, demonstrations and taster sessions for you and your dog to try your hand at a range of disciplines.

The Goodwoof Games

In celebration of the Winter Olympics and Commonwealth Games this year, the Goodwoof Games return, offering you and your dog the chance to win gold. Dogs of every size and breed are invited to the Goodwoof Games Arena to compete across four disciplines; 25m Sprint, Hurdles, Hammer Throw (and Fetch) and Long Jump. While everything at Goodwoof is a bit of fun, for the more competitive among you, be sure to keep an eye on the live leaderboard to see if your dog’s name makes the list of top 10 competitors throughout the day.

Trieball

The Have-a-Go area is always a fan-favourite and this year will take on a new look and feel as World Cup fever takes over; expect decorations and flags with some fun photo opps. Top European handlers from the Czech Republic and German will compete in a Treibball competition and give demonstrations of the sport. Plus, they’ll be on hand to teach you and your dog how to play Treibball.

CaniCross

Runners and cyclists should make a beeline for the CaniCross area to cheer on the CaniCross, CaniBike and CaniScoot competitors. They’ll work as one with their dog to take on the one kilometre cross-country trail through the stunning scenery of Goodwood Estate including the Downs Golf Course and The Gallops, where the racehorses train. This year we’re adding a brand new viewing platform along the trail so you can see even more of the CaniCross action. And of course, you’ll have the chance to learn how to start CaniCross from the experts.

Book your Goodwoof early bird tickets today and try out over 40 activities on 16 and 17 May 2026 included in the price of your ticket. Plus, kids 12 and under and dogs go free.
