Eroica Britannia will return in 2022. The exact date has yet to be confirmed, but anyone who joins our mailing list will be among the first to know.
Why has Eroica Britannia moved to Goodwood?
We've spent a couple of years looking for a new venue that will allow the event to flourish and set down new roots. Eroica Britannia leaves the Peaks with happy memories but we're excited to make a fresh start at Goodwood in the beautiful South Downs.
Prices have not been confirmed yet. To find out as soon as tickets go on sale, please join our mailing list.
What sort of bike do I need to enter Eroica Britannia?
Pre-1987 bikes are the order of the day. Think classic steel frames with downtube shifters, or vintage single speeds. Riders should dress the part, too, with vintage or retro clothing to match the style and age of their vintage bike.
Do I need to wear a cycling helmet?
Given the vintage nature of the event, cycling helmets are not compulsory. However, we strongly recommend wearing a helmet in the interests of safety.
How many rides will there be at Eroica Britannia 2022?
We're planning three Classic Rides of around 25 miles, 60 miles and 100 miles. There will also a traffic-free Family Ride on the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit, and a Twilight Ride in memory of Luciano Berruti.
A lot more than you might realise. There are regular track sessions on the Motor Circuit, as well as racing organised by local cycling clubs. Did you know that Goodwood was the venue for the 1982 UCI World Road Racing Championships?
