The car of the month for May is the Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4, a proper, track-focused machine born to compete. Launched in 2009 to 2010 for the FIA GT4 European Cup and based on the road-going GranTurismo S, it blends Italian style with serious motorsport intent. Beneath the sculpted bodywork sits a naturally aspirated 4.7-litre V8 producing around 430 to 450bhp, paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox and stripped-back race weight of roughly 1,410kg. The result is a car that may not shout the loudest on paper, but on circuit delivers sharp balance, real GT theatre and that unmistakable Maserati V8 soundtrack, an immersive, grin-inducing drive that feels right at home at Goodwood.
