The Saturday night festivities at the Members’ Meeting did not disappoint. After a day of exceptional racing on the track, all guests were invited to the spectacular party.
In the evening everyone was greeted by a sea of entertainment with a warming atmosphere, surging around the event. There were large stages for live music, dancers, fire acts, bands and fabulous singers; incredible processions of weird and wonderful acts, a light show, with an impressive bonfire to keep everyone toasty.
Those that two-stepped into the Daffodil will have witnessed a Members’ Meeting first, the boot scootin’ barn dance. Decorated with a surplus of daffodils, straw bale seats to relax and enjoy supper and of course many made the most of the bar, serving our renowned Goodwood Estate lager and ale.
There was an excellent variety of places to eat and drink – both inside and outdoors – and a wealth of crackling fire pits, cosy tea-pees to ensure no one got cold fingers or toes. It was a magnificent combination: all the colour of a carnival but with enough space to relax and enjoy the evening with family or friends. Younger guests would have never have seen a party like this before!
All the games and attractions at the party were complimentary.
The evening was brought to a close with a breath-taking fireworks display, set to a stirring and dramatic soundtrack. The perfect end to a fun and buzzing night of festivities.
