The Team Goodwood squad included, Drew Sykes, Jack Berry, Thomas Bisatt, Freddie Gillett, Cameron McLeod and Dougal Rattray.

Nine teams from England competed with the format the one best gross score and four best nett scores from the team of six. Conditions were wet and cool which made scoring difficult, but Team Goodwood performed well and had a combined score of 365 which equated to 1 under par, 2nd Place was Burhill Golf Club on 375 (9 over Par).

Stars of the week was Drew Sykes (plus 3 handicap) who had a 2 under par round and won the best gross. Freddie Gillett (12 handicap) had a nett 68, 5 under par. Dougal Rattray (20 handicap) making only his 2nd start for the team held his nerve and shot level to his handicap.

Goodwood now qualify for the Nations Cup Final next spring where the best teams from Scotland, England, and Wales compete. Goodwood won this event last year and are holders of the Nations Cup. It is another amazing achievement for our Juniors, with five out of the six players coming through our Level Up programme at The Academy.

Academy Manager, Chris McDonnell said, “This is a tremendous achievement by the boys and they now have another fantastic trip to look forward to in the Spring. The key to the success this week was keeping the boys relaxed and not taking things too seriously. It's all about the fun and enjoyment and that was our main focus.“

Congratulations to our Juniors!
