Macmillan Longest Day
Four Golf At Goodwood staff members took to The Park Course on Saturday 23 July to take on the longest day golf challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Ashley Bridle, Ollie Davey, Alex Smith and Ben Urry took to the course and played 72 holes raising over £1,000 for the charity.
The Macmillan Longest Day Challenge asks particpants to play 72 holes on a course of their choosing one day during the summer to help raise money for people living with cancer.
The 'Goodwood All Stars' team started their round at 5am, walked around 200,000 steps and finished a cool 14 hours after they teed off for their first round.
Ben said, "We wanted to do the challenge in memory of somebody that I knew that had sadly passed away from cancer. We wanted to raise as much money as we could which will help support those who are affected.
"It was certainly a challenge and brought the four of us closer together, we kept pushing each other through the day, especially when we were going through a mentally tough period on the course. Overall, we had a fantastic day and raised lots of money for Macmillan."
A huge congratulations to all who took part! For more information about the challenge or to donate, please click here.
