Space to breathe

25th January 2023

Set amidst all the bustle and excitement of Goodwoof is a very special shady spot which, last year, proved to be extremely popular with visitors – both two and four-legged. The Studio, presented by Randox, is a very special space not usually found at an event designed for dogs, but holds within its stylish canvas footprint a whole host of leading wellness experts ready to share their invaluable knowledge.

Each day during the weekend of Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May 2023, The Studio stages a timetable of sessions which are all included in the ticket price. These sessions cover dog yoga (DOGA), sound-bathing, reiki and breathwork and the absolute bliss of dog massage and are designed to strengthen the bond between human and hound as visitors fall into a deep state of relaxation and calm.

Our experts include doga pioneer, Dogamahny who led the field in dog yoga back in 2012 and whose book, DOGA, Yoga for you and your Dog has become the go to reference for home doga practitioners. Leading the sound-bathing spots is classically trained musician, Siobhan Swider. Siobhan trained at the Trinity College of Music and is an accomplished harpist and flautist. She delights dogs with her gentle classical chill out sessions in The Studio and says that by the end of them, any canines are fast asleep. Aysha Bell comes from a lengthy line of healers so it’s no surprise that she turned to meditation, yoga and herbal medicine to help herself through a difficult patch in her early 20s. She is a highly trained yoga teacher specialising in breathwork and brings her skills to Goodwoof so that dog owners can take her teaching home to aid their relaxation with their dog. Finally, holistic vet nurse, Lilo Ask-Henriksen lays gentle hands on even the most nervous of hounds to assess and bring relief to them for physical and emotional issues.
