We have been host to many incredible film crews using Goodwood as a backdrop for shows like Downton Abbey, Hollywood Blockbusters like Venom: let there be Carnage and the Man from U.N.C.L.E.


After a fire in 1791 at Richmond House in Whitehall, London, James Wyatt added two great wings to showcase the saved collection at Goodwood. To give unity to the two new wings, Wyatt added copper-domed turrets framing each façade.

Flying training began at Goodwood in 1940 when pilots were taught operational flying techniques in Hurricanes and Spitfires.



Easy boy! The charismatic Farnham Flyer loved to celebrate every win with a pint of beer. His Boxer dog, Grogger, did too and had a tendancy to steal sips straight from the glass.

All drivers and passengers need to be in reasonable health and have no health conditions that could affect their ability to take part in the activity. Please note: anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate. In the interests of safety, the organisers and instructors may exclude a participant going on track. Drivers must hold a full driving licence which will need to be presented on the day, photocopies will not be accepted. All drivers must have a good understanding of the English language for instruction purposes.
Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. The booker will be advised if there are any changes to the experience. Please call 01243 755055 if in any doubt.
Expect to be at the venue for Five hours which will include a drivers briefing, three 15-minute sessions in the car starting with one sighting lap and finishing with a Hot Lap.
Share the briefing with up to 21 other participants. All driving time is held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor.
Family, friends, and children are welcome to spectate and are encouraged to bring a camera to capture the experience. Please note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Well-behaved dogs are also permitted but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Tea and barista coffee will be available at the venue. Additional lunches for spectators can be added when you book your experience, so everyone can enjoy eating together. Alternatively, the Motor Circuit Café and Aerodrome Café are both nearby and offer a great selection of food and refreshments.
Please dress in comfortable clothing suitable for driving. Trousers are compulsory. For your safety, flip-flops, sandals, and shorts are not permitted. A Stilo helmet and HANS device will be provided.
The passenger will be required to sign a disclaimer and provide next of kin details. Public liability will be provided by Goodwood.
A height limitation of 6ft2 applies to the Alpine. If you do not fit in the Alpine, you will be compensated by having the opportunity to drive one of the other cars twice.
