Bonhams at Goodwood
Bonhams is renowned for presenting world-class auctions of rare and significant collectors' motor cars, from the earliest veterans to modern supercars, often achieving world-record prices. Our sales at Goodwood have become our second home here in the UK and over the years we have witnessed legendary moments including:
- The world auction record setting sale of ‘Red Five’ the 1992 Williams FW14B which helped power Nigel Mansell to win the 1992 Formula 1 Drivers’ championship
- The Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato which sold for £10.1 million in 2018, becoming the most valuable British motor car sold at a European auction
- The ex-Juan Manual Fangio 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196R which sold for £19.6 million in 2013, becoming the most valuable motor car ever sold at auction

1967 Maserati Mistral 4.0-Litre Spyder
This stylish Spyder is the leading lot of the Bonhams April 2022 sale. One of only 123 of the last classic 6-cylinder Maseratis, designed by Pietro Frua. This special example has remarkably been in its present ownership for the last 43 years and most notably has been maintained by renowned UK marque specialists Bill McGrath

1975 Aston Martin Lagonda Series 1 7.0-Litre Saloon
One of only eight Lagonda Series 1 built and most notably was the 1975 Earls Court Motor Show display car. The car was extensively restored in 2006 by RS Williams before being sold in 2012 to its current owner, where the car has been on static display. Naturally, the car will require recommissioning before it returns to the road.

An Ace collection of ACs
Surely one of the most comprehensive collections of ACs, this octet spans 70 years of the independent British marque and was amassed over five decades by the vendor – an AC enthusiast before he could even drive. Leading the pack is a 1958 Ace Roadster.

1976 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0-Litre Rally car
First campaigned by Polish rally ace Sobislav Zasada in the 30,000 kms 1977 London to Sydney Marathon, and having participated in numerous long-distance rallies since, this Carrera has covered more competitive kilometres than any other Porsche.

1974 Ferrari 365 BB GT4
One of only 58 right-hand drive, UK-market examples of the Berlinetta Boxer, the first Ferrari to feature a flat-12 engine and the fastest production car of the 1970s. This matching chassis and engine car was recently extensively restored by marque specialists at a cost of £94,000 and has covered circa 500 miles since.

Ex-Jo Siffert 1961 Lotus Formula Junior Monoposto
Acquired new by the late Swiss ace, the Lotus was successfully campaigned by him throughout the 1961 season, winning the European Formula Junior Championship. Latterly rebuilt to exceptional ‘as new’ condition the Lotus has been and raced successfully in modern historic Formula Junior events, including the Goodwood Members Meeting.
