Gut Friendly Macadamia & Berry Smoothie Recipe

Packed with antioxidants and enriched with essential fats, zinc and magnesium, this smoothie offers a perfectly balanced start to the day and works just as well as energising fuel before a run or workout.

Gut Friendly Macadamia & Berry Smoothie 

Makes 1 litre 

Ingredients:  

- 100g blackberries (fresh or frozen) 

- 100g strawberries, hulled 

- 100g raspberries (fresh or frozen) 

- 150g macadamia nuts, soaked overnight  

- 200g mango, peeled and stones 

- 700ml coconut water 

- Seeds of ½ vanilla pod (bean) 

- Acai powder, for dusting 

Method: 

Lay the fresh blackberries, strawberries and raspberries on a tray and freeze overnight. 

Strain the macadamia nuts. 

In a large jug blender, blitz all the ingredients (except the acai powder) until smooth.  

Serve in chilled glasses with a sprinkling of acai powder.  

This smoothie keeps well in the fridge overnight in an airtight container.
