Session 2 | Health Summit 2024 | Chris van Tulleken and Louise Kenny explore infant health, birth decisions, and UPFs at the 2024 Health Summit, including insights from the C-GULL study.

Dr Chris van Tulleken and Professor Louise Kenny discussed the challenges that new parents face in understanding pregnancy and birth decisions and the question of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) in manufactured baby food.

Professor Kenny discussed her work in the field of foetal programming, intergenerational health challenges and infant microbiome and outlined the new birth cohort that she leads; C-GULL a ground breaking study in Liverpool.

Chris also discussed how industry has created an environment that dictates our nutritional and lifestyle choices and how we tackle the right issues and educate at all levels.
