The Goodwood Honey Drop

Refreshingly sweetened with Goodwood’s own honey, this spring inspired cocktail is a simple yet sophisticated serve, exclusively from The Kennels’ cocktail menu. Gently balancing zesty lemons with the botanical notes of Goodwood gin, this cocktail is ideal for sipping on a sunny terrace or enjoying as a pre-dinner indulgence. Follow the steps below to craft this effortless seasonal favourite.

Ingredients 

- 20ml Goodwood honey 

- 30ml lemon juice  

- 50ml Goodwood gin 

Garnish 

- Lemon twist 

Method 

1. Combine equal parts honey and water in a small saucepan and heat until you can completely stir the honey into the water. Set aside to chill. This will be your honey syrup. 

2. Fill your rocks glass with ice to chill. 

3. In a shaker, add the honey syrup, lemon juice and Goodwood gin and shake for 30 seconds.  

4. Remove the ice from the glass, pour and serve. 

5. Garnish with a lemon twist.
