Custom Fitting

Using the latest in Trackman radar technology our team can fit you for the best performing clubs to suit your game. The data we receive includes ball and clubhead speed, dispersion, spin rates, launch angle and distance.

At Golf At Goodwood we are a fitting centre for Titleist, PING, Callaway and we can also fit you for Taylor Made, Scotty Cameron and Odyssey putters. We can find the best-suited clubs for you to help improve your game with the help of Trackman and Sam PuttLab. No matter whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, using a set of clubs that suit both you and your swing will help improve and increase your overall enjoyment of the game.

A custom fitted putter can help improve technique and distance control, increase consistency, allowing you to hole more putts and ultimately lower your score.

We will find the right shaft for you

We will help you find the right shaft that will help you improve your game. Weight and flex will allow you to see a consistent ball flight and feel like never before.

Club Head Design

Using the latest Trackman technology, our custom fit team will monitor your swing and look at the data to work out what the best club is for you. You will try different clubs to find the one that is best suited to you, which will help you achieve your ball flight goals.

Lie angle and length

By making sure you have the correct lie angle and length, this will ensure consistent ball striking and will also help you minimise your dispersion.

Grip

Our team will make sure you have the correct size and compound to help you feel more comfortable when you are hitting those straighter shots which will help you feel more confident when you are out on the golf course. 

All fittings last for 45 minutes which allows us the time to find one of the following: 

  • Driver
  • Fairway
  • Hybrid
  • Irons
  • Wedges
  • Putter

For a full bag fitting, please allow two hours.

If you want to make sure your clubs have been correctly set up for you, we can also give your club an MOT to make sure the lie and loft are helping you play for your best.

Where does the fitting take place?

All of our Custom fittings sessions take place at the Golf At Goodwood Academy, which is located next to The Park Course and the Goodwood Hotel. Find out more about The Academy here.

Who does the fittings?

Your Custom Fitting will be carried out by one of our PGA trained fitters who have years of experience and have a wealth of knowledge to help you find the perfect clubs to help you improve your game. 

Do I have to pay for a custom fitting?

Yes we do charge for this service. Please see below the Custom Fitting Costs:

  • Single Club - 30 minutes - £50
  • Full bag - 2 hours - £100
  • Putter Fitting Static - 15 minutes - No charge
  • Putter Fitting with Sam PuttLab - 45 minutes - £50

Which technology is used?

For our club fittings, we use Trackman 4 which provides data to help our fitters decide what is the best club for you. Trackman will pick up Club Head Speed, Ball Speed and Spin Rate. If you are looking for a new putter, we use SAM PuttLab to help you find the correct putter for you.

Do custom fitted clubs cost more?

No, we charge exactly the same whether they are standard or custom fitting clubs.

Does custom fitting benefit all abilities?

Yes, whether you are just beginning playing golf or are a more advanced player, our custom fitters will help you find the right clubs or putters for you which will ultimately help you improve your game further.
