Goodwood is located just outside Chichester, only 60 miles from London, 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton.

By Road

From London

Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.

From the West

Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 bypass/ring road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.

200 yards after the Goodwood Motor Circuit & Aerodrome entrance, straight over at the roundabout and follow the road up to the Racecourse. On some race days there will be diversions through Goodwood Estate, please follow the signage.

From the East

Follow the A27 to Chichester, exiting at the A285 Junction. When exiting at the A285, continue North and take the second left, signposted New Road. Follow New Road to the next roundabout and take the third exit onto Kennel Hill, which will take you up to the racecourse.

Please turn off your Satnav when approaching Chichester and follow sign postage to Goodwood Racecourse using the major highway. We do ask that you respect the local villages in the surrounding area.

Road Closures

A section of the A285 at Duncton, just south of the Seaford College entrance, remains closed for safety reasons following road subsidence and ongoing Investigations into the cause. Signed diversions are in place and will be improved during the coming days to include electronic messaging at key locations for road users. There is also a road closure on the A286, just North of Saint Nicholas Church in Lavant.

Parking

Parking is available for all enclosures in Car Park 9 (Free) and Car Park 8 (£12 in advance, £15 on the day). Richmond Enclosure ticket holders can also use Car Park 5 (£12 in advance, £15 on the day), subject to availability. Please follow the road signs on the day for directions.

Taxi pick-up and drop off

A taxi Pick-Up and Drop-Off rank for Gordon and Lennox Enclosure guests is located at the East Entrance next to the Bus Terminus, just off Selhurst Park road.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off for Richmond Enclosure guests is located at the West Entrance, off Kennel Hill road.

Bicycle Storage

There are two bicycle storage units available for racegoers to securely store bicycles whilst enjoying the day. For Gordon Enclosure guests, there is a storage unit next to the Racecourse Reception. For Richmond Enclosure guests this is located on the outside of the West Entrance. Please ask a member of staff for further details. 


By Bus

From Chichester Railway Station

The 900 bus service operates from Chichester Railway Station to the racecourse each day of the Qatar Goodwood Festival, costing £5 Single and £7.50 Return (£3 single and £3.50 return for children). It departs at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour, from 10.15am until 2.15pm. The last return journey from the racecourse will be 30 minutes following the last race. By Rail

Rail services

The quickest way to get to Goodwood from London by train is from London Waterloo to Petersfield with a journey time of 1 hour and 2 minutes. Then, take a 30-minute taxi ride through picturesque countryside. 

The nearest station to Goodwood is Chichester. There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester, with a minimum journey time of 1 hour and 30 minutes and a taxi ride of around 15 minutes. 

Please note, on Saturday 31 July 2021 only, the railway line between Three Bridges and Arundel via Horsham will be closed. Most railway journeys to / from Chichester Railway Station will not be significantly affected. Find out more at www.networkrail.co.uk/arunvalley
