Your new benefits explained
Ticket privileges
The membership discount will increase from 15% to 25% on tickets for both the Festival of Speed and Revival (two tickets per day for adult members and four for family members). These discounts also apply to grandstand passes.
Thursday Festival of Speed tickets will still be complimentary, as will access to the Kinrara Enclosure on Thursday on a ballot basis.
Early Access
Enter the Revival site a full hour before the public each day, to grab breakfast, admire the cars and bag the best spot from which to watch the action. You and your guests will be admitted to the main site from 7.30am whilst the public will be asked to wait Over The Road until 8.30am.
Not only will you be in the perfect place to watch the Spitfires on their dawn patrol, you'll also be able to see the drama at Gate 2 whilst it's quiet. A much more relaxed start to a day of action!
Membership enclosure
The Festival of Speed members' enclosure will revert to the enclosed pavilion style for 2023, with breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea served on plates in the restaurant. Screens will be dotted around to make sure that you can still watch the action on the hill whilst you eat!
More Club events
Next year, we are dramatically expanding our membership calendar of events with the highest ever number of free regional drives, alongside more factory tours and charitable initiatives.
The calendar highlights, such as the Spring Sprint, Open Day, AutoSOLOs, track days and tours etc will remain, as will the hugely successful GRRC Breakfast Club.
Pre-event testing
Each year, there are three or four test days ahead of the Members' Meeting and Revival at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Formerly available to the public, next year these days will only be open to the GRRC, giving you the exclusive chance to see some of the stars of the upcoming events putting cars through their paces for the first time.
The usual catering outlets will be open, as well as the NAAFI wagon, located between Paddocks one and two.
New 'Pit Stop' areas
At both the Festival of Speed and Revival, there will be additional exclusive areas for the GRRC community.
These exciting, new, open enclosures will provide ideal opportunities to recharge the batteries during long days exploring the events. With both covered seating and outdoor tables and private loos, you will be able to relax and recharge with a drink or snack from our outdoor concession stands and catch up with other members and guests.
For those of you who enjoyed the views, freedom and flexibility of the open-air enclosure in 2021/22, this will be right up your street!
New Revival enclosure
We are introducing a brand new enclosure to not only increase the exclusive space available to the GRRC but also to make sure that you are never too far from the relative calm of a members' area.
The new space will have a unique, Revival theme and will, of course, have all the usual features such as a bar, food, toilets, lockers and TV screens so that you don't miss the action.
New benefits: frequently asked questions
We’ve kept everything that we know you value, but have added plenty of new benefits – including new event enclosures, an extended calendar of exclusive GRRC events, increased ticket discounts and more. You can see a matrix showing the new membership benefits on our website, here.
We recently surveyed everyone in the GRRC to ask about the benefits that you value, and which new/additional benefits you might like to see.
The changes put in place are in direct response with what you told us you wanted.
We also note all feedback about our events via the post event surveys, issues reported on event to the GRRC teams or after the events to the ticket office, to help continue to improve the GRRC. We encourage the GRRC community to email us directly with any feedback at grrc@goodwood.com.
In our recent GRRC survey, we asked you what you wanted to change about the Club. In response to your replies, we have introduced a number of exciting new benefits. This means that the annual price of membership has increased, however, we have very much aimed to do all we can to outweigh any rise with a coordinated increase of real and meaningful benefits. We hope that you will find more than equal value – with more to enjoy – in the improved membership.
If you are worried that for you, the cost is simply too high, you might consider the option of moving to Fellowship; this offers a number of key benefits that might suit you. You can find more details about the Fellowship benefits here.
We are keen to help, so if there is a specific reason that has caused you concern about the affordability of GRRC membership, please contact us and we would be pleased to talk to you.
This larger price increase for 2023 reflects a major change in benefits and we do not anticipate this taking place every year. We cannot predict what future membership and Fellowship annual subscription prices will be, however for the past few years, the annual price increase has been minimal to take into account increases in postal and collateral costs, on-event facilities etc.
Goodwood Road and Racing continues to produce motorsport content – reviews, documentaries, interviews, articles and event coverage – of the very highest quality and the GRRC has full access to everything. If you are opted in to hear from us, you’ll receive a curated selection of their new content each week in the Friday motorsport newsletter.
Event and enclosure capacities will not change, nor will there be a decrease in the style or service provided. We are simply adding more enclosures and GRRC-only spaces for the GRRC community at our flagship events. This will allow members to have even more private space and options to base themselves in different locations around the events.
