Just beyond Goodwood House along the Hillclimb, the 2nd Dukes banqueting house was also known as "one of the finest rooms in England" (George Vertue 1747).


Our gin uses wild-grown botanicals sourced from the estate, and is distilled with mineral water naturally chalk-filtered through the South Downs.



After a fire in 1791 at Richmond House in Whitehall, London, James Wyatt added two great wings to showcase the saved collection at Goodwood. To give unity to the two new wings, Wyatt added copper-domed turrets framing each façade.









As the private clubhouse for all of the Estate’s sporting and social members, it offers personal service and a relaxed atmosphere


From 2005 to present there has been a demonstration area for the rally cars at the top of the hill






Within the boot room are hooks for 20 people, enough for all of the Lodges 10 bedrooms.

For safety reasons F1 cars can no longer do official timed runs so instead perform stunning demonstrations!

We can now only offer placements for 2027 as work experience capacity is now full for 2026.
• We can only offer placements within the departments listed on this page. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate requests outside of these areas.
• Each department has its own age criteria and placement details, so please make sure you only apply for roles you’re eligible for.
• Due to high demand, we’ll be in touch only if we can offer you a placement. If you don’t hear back within two weeks, sadly this means we’re unable to offer you a spot this time.
Goodwood is a rural Estate, so having access to a car or reliable transport is really helpful as you might need to get around the Estate independently. If you don’t drive, having someone who can drop you off and pick you up can be a good option.

The form will be sent to Goodwood’s People & Development team who will review your application and then pass on to the relevant team if there is an appropriate opportunity available.
If your application is successful, the manager at Goodwood will reach out you or a parent / guardian to discuss when your work experience will take place, as well as to arrange the relevant paperwork.
If your application is unsuccessful, you will receive an email informing you of this.
Opportunities are secured on a first come, first served basis and dependent on a well thought-through and professional application. Once the capacity of the Goodwood team is reached throughout the year, we may not be able to accommodate further requests.
Depending on availability within the team, we offer work experience opportunities in the following departments:
All requests must go through our ‘Work Experience Request Form’ and will be sent to the relevant team at Goodwood.
By submitting a request, this is not a guarantee of a placement or work experience.
Please avoid submitting a form two to three weeks out from a headline event as we cannot guarantee a reply.
If you are under the age of 18, authorisation from a parent or guardian will be required before any communication between Goodwood and the young person can take place.
Work experience for a young person at Goodwood will be subject to a risk assessment and safeguarding regulations, which will need to be signed by a parent or guardian if the individual is under 18.
If the work experience is office-based, the young person will need to supply their own laptop. All successful applicants will need to arrange their own lunch and transport to and from Goodwood.
The majority of our work experience opportunities are not paid and are intended for a young person or student to shadow a team or individual over a short period of time during school holidays or part of a programme of study. If you are from a low-income household, we may be able to cover travel and lunches, and provide a laptop.

The Goodwood Motor Circuit is open all year-round, with many days accessible to the public, providing the perfect backdrop for any budding photographer. Check out the calendar of events and if there is a public track day, you are welcome to pop along and take pictures. Alternatively, register for one of the free Breakfast Clubs, where you can get up close to some amazing cars in a static setting.
Please note: you will not be able to go trackside to take photographs. Please follow instructions from the marshals at all times and respect all other guests and staff on the day.
