10 things to see at the Goodwood Revival
Explore 10 things to see and do at the Revival!
Recreating the glamour of motor racing as it used to be, the Motor Circuit comes alive for the Revival, both on and off the historic track. The only historic race meeting to be staged entirely in period dress, the Revival sees a return to the halcyon days of Goodwood as the spiritual home of British motor racing.
As always, there are more surprises in store, so keep an eye out for announcements later this summer.
1. World’s greatest historic racing
Witness hundreds of rare and priceless cars, driven by champions past and present, competing for the most coveted trophies in historic motorsport, including the St Mary’s Trophy, the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration and arguably the most competitive race of the event, the Settrington Cup children’s pedal car race.
2023 race announcements coming soon.
2. Vintage fashion and second-hand style in abundance
For a truly immersive experience of the Motor Circuit’s halcyon days, visitors embrace the style of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s; Revival is the ultimate celebration of vintage fashion.
Not only does this make for some incredible style stories and people-watching joy, there’s also the chance you’ll be scouted for the Best Dressed competition for a moment in the spotlight. For new additions to your wardrobe, the Arcade d’Aubigny boasts some of the best vintage retailers from around the UK.
3. A tribute for a motorsport legend
Join us as we pay tribute to the life and career of Carroll Shelby, developer of the AC Cobra and Shelby Daytona Coupe.
In what would have been his 100th year, iconic cars from Shelby’s extraordinary career will be in attendance, both on and off the track, to make the Motor Circuit come alive in celebration of his achievements.
4. Revive & Thrive
At Revival, we revisit a time when people would ‘make do and mend’ cherished belongings for a lifetime of use, reconnecting with the best of the past as an antidote to today’s throwaway culture.
In 2023, the Revive and Thrive areas will embrace that strikingly relevant mantra with workshops, demonstrations and talks that celebrate the joys of vintage and share ways to reuse, repair and repurpose pre-loved belongings
5. Renowned riders and drivers
The Revival always attracts the finest in historic motor racing talent - and a host of famous faces from the motorsport world and beyond. Stay tuned for further updates as we confirm which celebrity drivers are joining us in 2023.
6. Delicious treats to eat and drink
From casual and relaxed dining options provided by our catering stands, to more luxurious experiences provided by our hospitality teams, there’s something for everyone.
Across Revival we have dining options to suit a wide variety of dietary requirements so rest assured you won’t go hungry on our watch!
7. Plenty of Instagrammable moments
From the moment you enter the event, you’ll be transported back in time. From getting your hair styled at one of our Betty’s Salons, to Instagram-worthy backdrops, your friends will definitely suffer FOMO.
Stay tuned for our downloadable Instagrammable moments map too.
8. Freddie March Spirit of Aviation
A magnificent concours d'elegance for pre-1966 aircraft which brings together some of the most elegant and rarely-seen machines from the history of aviation.
9. Revival High Street
Enjoy our homage to the classic High Street while you shop for vintage items, gifts, and memorabilia. You’ll find an array of retro items like clothing, furniture, accessories and food to buy as a treat to yourself or others.
10. All the fun of the fair
There’s plenty of fun available outside of the Motor Circuit action. Create special memories in the Fairground, watch vintage and second-hand treasures go under the hammer at Bonhams Auction, lose yourself in the big screen with Sky Cinema and much more Over the Road.
