BMW Group Classic
BMW Group Classic consists of the BMW Museum, BMW Group Classic Services and the BMW Group Archive, and deals with all activities related to the history of the company and its four brands BMW, BMW Motorrad, MINI and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
The new "Classic Heart" podcast, which can be found on all podcast platforms, offers intriguing insights into classic cars and more besides.
Revivalfest
BMW Group Classic will be hosting the annual Revivalfest in suitable style and serving tasty Bavarian dishes from morning till late. Come to our Revivalfest tent on 08 – 10 September and enjoy a proper beer garden atmosphere complete with traditional Bavarian music band.
Let’s race again
At this year’s Goodwood Revival, BMW Group Classic will be competing in the Berry Sheene Memorial Trophy with four outstanding motorbikes and riders – check out our teams below.
Team #1
The historic Oskar Liebmann Special RS 54, owned by Scott Williams, will represent Team #1.
Lead mechanic, vintage road racer and BMW design engineer Klaus Ottillinger will join forces with accomplished World Superbike road racer Eugene Laverty for the team.
Team #2
With the BMW RS 54 Kurzhub, we're hoping to increase our chances of a successful series.
Riders Sebastian Gutsch, who has been with the Goodwoof Revival since 2004, and Gordon Russell, who is in his 55th season racing motorcycles in all classes, are entrusted with the team's fortunes.
Team #3
The Kazcor BMW R 50 S will lead Team #3.
In the saddle this year will be Claus Clausen, an ex national ski racer, international producer & director and a dedicated road racer. Alongside him is BMW works rider and pro racer Roland Resch.
Team #4
The Kazcor BMW R 50 S Kurzhub puts the team in with a chance of competing higher up the order.
Norbert Rebholz, development engineer at BMW Motorrad and former motorcycle racer in international racing series, joins former British Superbike champion Josh Brookes from Australia, who also has experience on international race tracks.
March Motor Works
Providing a reliable source of inspiration once again this year is March Motor Works. In this oasis of nostalgia you will find a range of BMW Motorrad road and race-spec motorcycles, as well as parts, information and models from the BMW Classic collection.
Come along and see for yourself. Here you'll also discover a model belonging to the Duke of Richmond, whose grandfather bought it in 1936.
