The new gym launching at Goodwood Health & Wellbeing within The Goodwood Hotel is no ordinary gym. It has been designed for smarter training, deeper recovery and long-term wellness, reflecting the Estate’s belief in the body’s natural ability to heal and strengthen itself. This is set to become the South Coast’s most comprehensive hub for personalised health, where technology, expert coaching and nature converge.

“At Goodwood, we’re reimagining what it means to live well,” says Jen Evans-Brewer, Head of Health & Wellbeing. “We’re creating spaces where intelligent technology and expert practitioners work together to deliver truly personalised, holistic health. Our goal is to empower members, guests, and our local community to feel better, live stronger, and thrive, no matter who or where they are.”

The new Technogym suite sets a new standard for fitness in the Southeast, with tools designed to give members real-time insights and measurable results:

  • Technogym Checkup – an advanced assessment that measures strength, mobility, cardiovascular fitness and cognitive function, summarised into Wellness Age™, a clear motivating benchmark.
  • Biostrength - AI-powered strength training with automatically adaptative resistance, six different resistance types and automatic range of motion to optimise results.
  • Technogym App - Connected app technology that tracks progress, analyses data and strengthens the relationship between members, practitioners and performance specialists.
  • SKILLRUN – the world’s first treadmill for both cardio and power training, perfect for endurance, parachute and resistance training.

These systems are paired with Goodwood’s expert team of trainers, physiotherapists, nutritionists and health specialists and practitioners, creating a 360, data-driven approach to personalised wellness.

A New Era of Community-Led Fitness

The future of health is about connection, not just exercise. Attendance at community-led fitness events is booming, with hybrid competitions like HYROX, ATHX, and DEKA seeing surges worldwide. Running participation has risen 130%, while fitness event attendance overall has jumped 146%, evidence of a growing desire for goal-driven, social fitness experiences.

Goodwood is responding with a gym designed as a 'Fourth Space': beyond home, beyond work, beyond convenience, a space built around intention and community. Whether you are a focussing on longevity and strength training, or a craving a space for training, competition and community, there’s a place here for every health and wellbeing journey.

A Holistic, 360° Approach to Health

The new gym sits within a broader ecosystem of personalised health. Alongside the Technogym suite, members will be able to access:

  • Randox Health onsite clinic for comprehensive health testing and diagnostics
  • Private GP consultation with MB Medical Solutions for in-house medical support
  • Chichester Physio for expert rehabilitation and recovery
  • Pilates Contrology Suite for machine based, Reformer Style Pilates that focus on core strength, flexibility and fitness support
  • A full Wellbeing Directory of trainers and specialists

Alongside the gym and range of services, Health Club members and Hotel visitors can take part in a full range of holistic and curated group classes and wellness experiences including a wide range of yoga, Pilates, spin cycle, HIIT and resistance training, alongside Pranayama breath and sound bath sessions.

This is preventative health at a level previously only accessible to professional athletes, all set against the restorative backdrop of 11,000 acres of West Sussex countryside.

The new gym and Health & Wellbeing hub facilities will be open to Health Club members, gym members and The Goodwood Hotel guests from Monday 5 January 2026.
