Nearing the event

Over the event we close certain roads and direct traffic to designated parking areas. We therefore discourage attendees from using sat navs. Please refer to our parking maps to minimise disruption to your journey.

Please show respect for local residents by using advised routes.

Direct Coach

If you live in the south of England you may be able to use our direct coaches to the Festival of Speed, powered by Fanzone - the most convenient way to get to Goodwood. It offers bespoke routes according to where guests are travelling from. Explore by clicking below.


The Festival of Speed is held in the grounds of Goodwood House. Goodwood is located four miles north of Chichester, 60 miles from London and 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton.

From the North

Visitors from London should follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. At Milford Junction, take the A283 turn-off towards Petworth. At Petworth, take the A285 towards Chichester and
follow signs to the event. Alternatively, take the A286 via Midhurst, and follow the AA signs.

From the East or West

Visitors approaching Goodwood from the direction of either Southampton or Brighton should take the A27 towards Chichester and then follow the AA signs. Those heading to Goodwood from a north-east direction (Pulborough, Horsham) should take the A29 to the junction with the A27 westbound towards Chichester. Those arriving from a north-west direction (Petersfield, Basingstoke) should follow the A3 to the junction with the A27 eastbound.

Please do not follow your sat nav when nearing the event - follow the event signs. Please show respect for local residents by using advised routes.

Car and motorcycle parking

Car parks are free, and open from 6.30am. Parking is on grass, and may not be suitable for low-slung cars, but hard standing and helmet storage are available for motorcyclists at Car Park D, north of Goodwood Motor Circuit. Overnight parking/camping in the car parks is forbidden. If you have Reserved Parking, please display your label clearly in the windscreen and follow the relevant signs.

By train, coach or aircraft

Trains run regularly from London Victoria to Chichester (1 hr 40 mins), and there are also services from Brighton and Portsmouth. Taxis are available at the station. If arriving by taxi, please follow event signage to Gate 1. 

A bus (service 902) runs from Chichester Station from 0700 each day, with tickets for the service available on the day. It leaves every 30 minutes and costs £5 for a single or £6 for a return ticket.
Please note: from 1400 buses will run from the bus station.

Goodwood’s aerodrome is suitable for rotary or fixed-wing light aircraft (call 01243 755087).
