After careful consideration, we have taken the difficult decision not to stage Goodwoof next year. As Goodwood enters an exciting new chapter in 2027, with a number of significant developments taking place across the Estate, we believe this is the right moment to pause and reflect on the event's remarkable journey.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone, on two legs and four, who has been part of the Goodwoof story and helped create so many unforgettable moments.
Dogs have been part of life here at Goodwood since the arrival of the first Duke of Richmond and Gordon in 1697 and we look forward to continuing to welcome our canine clientele across the Estate.

2027 will be a landmark year for the Goodwood Estate, with the transformation of the Goodwood Hotel, alongside Goodwood's expansion into the United States through the launch of Goodwood Road Racing Club of America in January. Goodwood Racecourse will also enter an exciting new chapter, with the redevelopment of the Lennox Enclosure, as the Estate continues to evolve.
With this in mind, it felt right to reflect on Goodwoof’s remarkable journey and celebrate everything it has achieved, while exploring new opportunities that will introduce even more people to the home of exceptional experiences.

Dogs have been part of life at Goodwood for centuries, with the first Duke of Richmond and Gordon's hounds calling the Estate home when he arrived in 1697. Today, that connection remains as strong as ever, with dogs at the heart of the Goodwood experience, from dog-friendly holiday cottages and welcoming cafés and restaurants to The Kennels, the Estate's private clubhouse, which takes its name from the historic hound kennels that once stood on the site.
While Goodwoof will not take place in 2027, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy Goodwood with your four-legged friend. Explore the beautiful landscapes of the Estate, discover the Goodwood Art Foundation, relax over lunch, or enjoy a stay in one of our dog-friendly cottages. Whatever brings you here, dogs remain woven into everyday life at Goodwood.
Whether you are visiting for a day out, a countryside walk or a longer stay, we look forward to welcoming you and your dog back to the Estate soon.
