Silver Ghost
A contemporary interpretation of the original Silver Ghost. Silver Ghost AX201 was the origin of Rolls-Royce’s claim of making “the best car in the world” in 1907 by Autocar.
It competed in the Scottish reliability trials along with another 15,000-mile test driving between London and Glasgow 27 times, establishing RR claim to impeccable reliability.
The 2018 Silver Ghost celebrates the original car and exudes the striking but sophisticated appearance with accents of detail that nod to the original car built over 100 years ago.
Dawn Adamas
Embodying the rebellious spirit of Black Badge and combining it with cutting-edge modern craftsmanship techniques, the Adamas Collection darkens the aesthetic further. From ancient Greek the word ‘Adamas’ is defined as untameable and unbreakable. Due to this meaning, ‘Adamas’ was actually the original name for the hardest substance known to man, diamond. Adamas is personified by the Spirit of Ecstasy, featured exclusively in machined carbon fibre for the very first time. The theme is then carried into the interior with the use of black Diamonds, dark brushed metal and woven leather further promoting the modern craftsmanship techniques available from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood.
As a collection car, the car will be limited to just 70 globally.
Wraith Luminary
With a limited run of 55 cars globally, Wraith Luminary is a car that encapsulates that perfect journey, only possible in Wraith, the ultimate gran turismo. The exclusive Sunburst Grey paint portrays the spirit of the sunset during the perfect drive. Formulated around a solid grey base, in direct light it comes alive with rich copper tones, due to the metallic particles in the surface of the paint.
The standout defining feature of the Wraith Luminary collection car in the illuminated Canadel panelling. This progressive new statement in modern luxury flows from the front doors into the rear passenger compartment. The elegant use of light continues with a new take on Wraith’s iconic Starlight Headliner. Luminary Collection owners will be treated to the romance and magic of their own personal shooting star field. Firing at random, down 8 different tracks equipped with 24 fibres, the shooting stars never fail to captivate, providing new, glamorous expression to Wraiths existing 1,340 fibre optic lights.
Phantom
One of the three Phantom’s built specifically for the Geneva Motor Show this year, known as The Gentleman’s Tourer and harks back to the era of the grandest of Grand Tourers – the Phantom II Continental Saloons of the Thirties. Phantom II Continental Saloons were always notable for being commissioned for the road, their colours and interiors specified for driving endurance rather than show, necessarily. The Gentleman’s Tourer pursues this approach, with a unique Iced Gunmetal exterior paint, complemented by a satin silver bonnet. This new paint was developed specifically for this customer to appeal to his interest in high performance aircraft, with its satin appearance reminiscent of cutting edge military tech.
The 22 inch alloy wheel centres are also accented in Iced Gunmetal, another first use of this process on a wheel. The interior of The Gentleman’s Tourer is a masculine, utilitarian-feeling space, bespoke for the purpose of long, luxurious journeys. One final precious feature confirms the technical modernity of this beautiful motor car – the Cascade Steel Gallery finished in Ruthenium, a rare and precious metal from the Platinum group. With only 20 tonnes of this metal mined annually – compared with 2,500 tonnes of Gold – this indeed is a very precious way to detail one’s Phantom.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan
When Rolls-Royce announced three years ago that it would launch Cullinan, it did so in the knowledge that its customers around the world had asked it to build “The Rolls-Royce of SUVs”, with luxury, performance and usability not seen before in the SUV market. Many of these customers were younger, very successful high-net-worth individuals who are heavily engaged in the experience economy, and wanted a Rolls-Royce that would take them to the ends of the Earth in ultimate luxury.
Automotive mobility has always been a fast moving and dynamic business, with new concepts – such as SUVs – appearing with great regularity. But those new concepts need to be perfected in order to be adopted by those customers who will accept no compromise – the patrons of true luxury. Hence the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
