PPR, Arrivals & Departures
Landing at Goodwood
Goodwood Aerodrome welcomes member and visiting pilots all year round. Please visit the Sales and Operations team within Goodwood Flying School on arrival for the payment of landing fees and fuel uplift. Historic aircraft manufactured pre '66 receive complimentary landing.
Goodwood Aerodrome is a CAA Licensed (ordinary) operation. In order that we can offer you the best possible experience when flying in to Goodwood, it is important that you have contacted Air Traffic and obtained PPR. This ensures that we have the opportunity to advise you of the runway in use, any relevant operational details and also allows us to plan your parking arrangements, fuel uplift etc. Please give us as much notice as possible of your PPR requirements.
Goodwood Events PPR
Please note that special event rates and procedures apply during Goodwood’s major events.
During the major events at Goodwood (Members’ Meeting, Festival of Speed, Qatar Goodwood Festival and Goodwood Revival), local airspace, aerodrome and aircraft parking are much busier than a normal operational day.
It is essential that a pre allocated arrival slot time is obtained for your flight. It is not possible to accept traffic that has not pre booked and/or obtained a slot time for these events.
To book your arrival slot time, please call 01243 755087 and speak to a member of our team who will be delighted to assist you.
Arriving Out of Hours
If you are planning to arrive outside Aerodrome operating hours, you must nominate a responsible person to initiate overdue action should you fail to arrive. Make sure the nominated person has the telephone number for NATS (National Air Traffic Service 0845 6010483) and full details of your intended flight, ideally a copy of your inbound flight plan. Keep them informed of any changes and arrange to contact them no later than 30 minutes after you arrive.
If you fail to arrive they must then contact NATS. If they have not heard from you by your planned landing time plus 30 minutes, The NATS Supervisor will then take overdue action.
Permission to operate Out of Hours is normally only available to Goodwood-based customers but may exceptionally be available to non-Goodwood-based customers with the prior approval of the Aerodrome operator.
Please note that any Out of Hours movement may not take place until the Aerodrome Authority have confirmed to you that PPR is approved.
Goodwood Aerodrome is Prior Permission Required and is available via Air Traffic Services (ATS) on
